SAN FRANCISCO, January 29, 2016 – McKesson Corporation today announced the release of its FY2015 Corporate Social Responsibility Report, an annual publication highlighting how McKesson demonstrates social responsibility both internally to our associates and externally to our customers and our communities. The report can be found at www.McKessoncorporatecitizenship.com.

This year’s report features information on McKesson’s community engagement efforts, diversity & inclusion, employee health & safety, philanthropy, sustainability and supplier diversity. It also includes the personal stories of many of McKesson’s employees and stakeholders, demonstrating the widespread commitment to corporate citizenship from employees at every level.

“The theme of this year’s report is “CSR365,” reflecting how social responsibility is embedded in McKesson every day of the year. Through our daily work, McKesson associates work for the better business health of our customers, helping them to deliver improved patient care and reduce costs,” said Christine Lopez, vice president, Corporate Citizenship, McKesson Corporation and president, McKesson Foundation. “This sense of purpose is fundamental to our culture and embodied in our ICARE Shared Principles — Integrity, Customer First, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence — which bring our commitment to social responsibility to life every day.”

The FY15 Report highlights include:

  • Receipt of the 2015 C. Everett Koop National Health Award for the success of McKesson’s wellness program during 2012–2014. The prestigious Koop Award requires strong documentation of both health improvement and cost savings.

  • More than 4 million pairs of latex gloves donated to World Vision in response to the Ebola crisis — enough to meet the entire country of Sierra Leone’s needs for five months.
  • Major donations from The McKesson Foundation to the company’s Taking Care of Our Own Fund, an employee relief fund that provides grants to employees who are experiencing a financial hardship resulting from a sudden, severe, overwhelming and unexpected event.
  • The distribution of more than 35,000 cancer care packages to patients in more than 175 locations by McKesson Foundation’s Giving Comfort program. During the fiscal year, more than 12,500 McKesson employees helped create care packages during workplace volunteer events.
