Radiation Oncologist Joins Arizona Oncology

Phoenix (July 1, 2015) -Arizona Oncology, one of the largest medical groups in Arizona devoted exclusively to cancer care and a practice in The US Oncology Network, is pleased to announce the addition of board certified radiation oncologist, Devin Sloan, M.D., to its cancer care team.

Dr. Sloan will provide state-of-the-art cancer treatment at two of Arizona Oncology’s Phoenix centers located at Bethany Home Road and 19th Ave., and Highland Ave. and 24th St. Dr. Sloan has a special interest and extensive experience with cancers of the skin, prostate and head & neck as well as the use of modern Stereotactic Radiosurgery to various areas of the body. He has been practicing in the Phoenix area for six years.

His strong compassion for patient care and his expertise in radiation oncology bring an excellent addition to the team to help provide optimal care to our patients in the valley,” said Jerry Lucas, M.D., board certified radiation oncologist and practice president of Arizona Oncology’s Phoenix division.

Dr. Sloan earned his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He went on to complete an internship in general surgery at St. Luke's- Roosevelt Medical Center in New York and residency in radiation oncology at Los Angeles County & USC Medical Center and The University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson, Arizona.

He is currently an active member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.

Arizona Oncology provides radiation therapy at locations adjacent to Abrazo Arrowhead, Abrazo Central Campus and the Biltmore area of Phoenix.
