Nick Loporcaro is president of McKesson Specialty Health. In this role, he is responsible for leading McKesson’s businesses delivering specialty care and services, including The US Oncology Network, oncology distribution services, vaccines distribution, manufacturer services and multi-specialty offerings. McKesson Specialty Health supports The US Oncology Network and empowers the community patient care delivery system to advance the science, technology and quality of care. Previously, Loporcaro was appointed to the position of president, McKesson Canada, in 2011. In that role, he was responsible for driving McKesson’s operations in Canada. As president, Loporcaro led the integration of Drug Trading and Medicine Shoppe, positioning McKesson Canada as the largest banner of independent pharmacists across Canada. Loporcaro has also served as vice president and general manager, Eastern Canada, where he was responsible for managing the Eastern Canadian market, which serves 2,500 hospitals and pharmacies in Quebec and Atlantic Canada. He joined McKesson Canada in 2003 as director, National Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining McKesson, Loporcaro was managing partner with Ascend LLC, a business development and management consultancy which he founded. He also worked in progressively responsible management and executive roles in a variety of sectors, notably in telecommunications and manufacturing.
