Employee Involvement

At McKesson, we are committed to helping improve patients' lives by inspiring our employees, investing in our communities, and caring for our planet.  Whether it's painting a mural to brighten the walls of a local hospital, or creating care packages for pediatric oncology patients, we believe that by sharing our time and talent, our employees can help make a difference in improving a patient's life.

Volunteer Coordinators
In McKesson offices around the world, employee volunteers serve as Regional Volunteer Coordinators (RVCs).  These RVCs have volunteered to serve in a leadership capacity in their area to motivate employee volunteers and organize group volunteer activities.

McKesson's Volunteer Week
Employees are encouraged to participate in coordinated group volunteer projects throughout the world with fellow McKesson employees, furthering the impact of our giving beyond cash and strengthening our commitment to nonprofit organizations in the communities where we live and work.

McKesson's Volunteer Grants Program
McKesson's volunteer program promotes employee participation at nonprofit organizations by providing grants linked to individual volunteer involvement.

Neil Harland Award
The Neil Harlan Award, named after a former Chairman and champion of community involvement, is presented each year to five outstanding employee volunteers.  Along with the honor, each recipient receives a grant for the nonprofit agency of their choice.

President's Volunteer Service Award
The President's Volunteer Service Award is issued by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation on behalf of the President of the United States to recognize individuals demonstrating outstanding volunteer service and civic participation.  McKesson awards our employees annually who have logged more than 100 hours in our volunteer program.
