Founded in 1943, the McKesson Foundation envisions a world where affordable, quality healthcare is available to all.
To that end, each year the McKesson Foundation contributes more than $5 million to nonprofit organizations working to improve the health of our communities. Our main funding area is cancer, with a specific focus on organizations that provide non-medical direct services to low-income cancer patients in the U.S. In order to maximize resources to further our impact, we do not accept unsolicited grant proposals. If you feel that your organization is a perfect fit for our priority funding, you may send us no more than one page describing your organization and your funding needs to mckessonfoundation@mckesson.com. We will keep it on file and will notify you only if we wish to gain additional information or think there is an opportunity for potential funding. As part of the McKesson Foundation's commitment to supporting innovative cancer management interventions, we developed the Mobilizing for Health® grant program, the Foundation's program area focused on building the evidence base for mobile health through research. Through the Mobilizing for Health® initiative, our ultimate goal is to improve health outcomes among underserved patients with chronic diseases through the widespread adoption of care management models using mHealth technologies that have proven successful. Specifically, through Mobilizing for Health® the Foundation funds pilot research projects and ongoing studies in need of additional funding focused on mobile phone-based interventions for low-income patients with chronic diseases, with a priority interest in cancer management.
