We supply pharmaceuticals and supplies to all of the 650 Department of Veterans Affairs (DoVA) medical centers and outpatient clinics. We are the largest vendor for the Department of Veterans Affairs (DoVA) and the sole supplier for the Department of Defense’s TriCare Mail Order Pharmacy program.

Veteran-owned businesses represent some of our most trusted suppliers and partners. Currently, McKesson has more than 125 veteran-owned business suppliers. McKesson representatives participate in various events including procurement fairs, seminars, and workshops for veteran business organizations such as The United States Association of Veterans in Business (NaVOBA), the National Veteran-Owned Business Association (USAVETBIZ), and the Disabled Veterans Business / The California Alliance (DVBE).

We provide professional development and networking for our veteran employees
McKesson has a nationwide employee resource group dedicated to veterans. This McKesson Military Resource Group (MMRG) provides networking and mentoring support to McKesson’s employee veterans across the company. MMRG also provides key input to McKesson business leaders on issues that are top of mind for veterans.

McKesson sponsors and participates in various events for the veteran community.

San Francisco Fleet Week Service Member’s BBQ (October 2010)
McKesson’s sponsorship helped provide hot meals and live music for more than 4,000 active duty service men and women. McKesson employees also volunteered their time to staff a booth at the barbecue to thank members of the military for their service to our country.

Diamond Sponsorship of 6^th Annual National Veteran Small Business Expo in Las Vegas (July 2010)
McKesson was thrilled to be a part of the National Veteran Small Business Expo (NVSBE). The largest conference of its kind, the NVSBE brings together more than 3,200 attendees to share best practices of how veteran and service-disabled-veteran businesses can interact with potential business partners.

McKesson was a proud sponsor of Keeping the Promise in 2010 and will be a co-title sponsor for the event again in 2011. At Keeping the Promise, small veteran and service-disabled-veteran owned businesses get an opportunity to meet with potential business partners in both the public and private sector.
