Northeast Georgia Medical Center shifted select pharmacy techs into dedicated, unit-based roles to improve service to nursing.
Results include significant improvements in nursing satisfaction and increases in HF-1 medication reconciliation scores.
With central pharmacy automation solutions in place, Pharmacy Director Stephen A. Carlson set out to eliminate medication-related issues on nursing units. The unit-based pharmacy technicians proved to be an immediate nursing satisfier.
The impact continues more than a year later, with better medication turnaround times, fewer missing medications, reductions in admission and discharge times, and overall improvements in the medication reconciliation process. Learn more during this webinar.
