BETH: Technology Account Advisor job profile

Support is one of the things that impressed Beth most about McKesson. “For a company as large as McKesson to provide the support that I’ve received from my peers, my management team and all the way to the Vice President level was surprising and refreshing. I am always learning from the diverse backgrounds, experiences, skills and talents that surround me here.”

When she started at McKesson Provider Technologies, Beth was responsible for managing the hardware procurement, staging and delivery process that supports our software applications. Her role as a project coordinator gave her “a great deal of responsibility and was an important customer-facing role that truly challenged me as a college hire!” Beth places high value on that level of customer interaction. Although she’s been promoted to project manager, her customer-first attitude is still a major component of her job. “I have many customers whom I’ve worked with since I was a college hire. I know about their families, I hear about their vacations. In an industry that relies on e-mail, it’s nice to know that you can still have that level of interaction with your customers. These are some of the greatest relationships I’ve formed at McKesson.”

To be successful at McKesson, Beth says, “You need to be passionate about healthcare and be results oriented. You also need to make bold and decisive decisions in complex situations.” She encourages college students to visit McKesson’s booth at career fairs. “Everyone says that you don’t get jobs from career fairs, but I am proof that you can!”
