DAMON: Technology Engineer job profile

Damon joined McKesson as an associate technology engineer. “My team greeted me with a positive attitude and the willingness to teach me skills to excel in my work,” he says. “I was immediately welcomed to all team functions, lunch-outs, parties, meetings, etc. They listened to my questions and helped me find answers.”

After four months, Damon was promoted to technology engineer in the McKesson Provider Technologies division, where he works in presales engineering for our software products. He attributes his fast promotion to McKesson’s ability to “recognize strong skills and position candidates according to their qualifications as well as their hard work.”

In keeping with our Customer-First ICARE Shared Principle, Damon “visits the hospitals with the software sales team to get a better understanding of the customer’s data center, environment and what they’re looking to achieve. This allows me to develop solutions to work seamlessly with our products.” Interacting with our customers is one of Damon’s favorite parts of his job, especially when he meets a customer face to face after answering their questions over the phone. “We make a difference in this world. Improving healthcare is something I feel very passionate about.”
