Mallory's Profile |
Name: MalloryEducation: Vanderbilt University Starting Title: Summer Intern Current Title: Talent Management Coordinator Business Unit: McKesson Provider Technologies Mallory participated in the McKesson Provider Technologies summer internship program after her junior year at Vanderbilt. She chose McKesson because she wanted to collaborate with a friendly team for a company that improves lives. Mallory describes her coworkers as “friendly, dedicated and always willing to help. They were very knowledgeable and always made time to answer questions or give feedback.” Mallory’s internship project focused on a turnover and onboarding analysis for McKesson Provider Technologies (MPT), which culminated in a plan for a new onboarding process. She gained experience with MPT’s Human Resources Transformation and learned how programs like talent review inform strategic workforce planning. “I liked that I was included in so much during my internship,” Mallory says. “By shadowing my mentor and project supervisor, I had access to many interesting meetings. I felt comfortable participating because I knew my input was valued.” After the internship, Mallory stayed in touch with McKesson, even helping out at career fairs where she spoke with her peers about McKesson. Mallory got to see our ICARE Shared Principles at work. Our sponsorship of Community Days, which encourages employees to volunteer in their communities, showed Mallory that McKesson lives those principles every day. After graduation, Mallory will start her healthcare career as a Talent Management Coordinator in the McKesson Provider Technologies business. “It’s exciting that a new role was created for me. I like knowing I’ll be working again with the energetic and friendly employees I got to know during my internship.” |
