  • Q: Can I save my search or the contents of my job basket?

A: Job seekers cannot save their searches or current session info.

  • Q: When entering a job application, can I save and come back to it later?

Apply for a Job

  • Q: How do I apply for a job?

A: First, select the job posting, then within the Job Description screen, click Apply Now.

  • Q: How do I apply for several jobs at once?

A:   Check the Job Basket box next to each of the jobs you wish to apply for, then click Apply for Job in Basket.

  • Q: Can I put more jobs in the job basket, then return to search and add more?

A: Yes. Jobs previously placed in the basket remain there until you remove them.

  • Q: If I already have a resume file (for example, a Microsoft Word document) created, how do I upload it in the system?

A: Select Attach Resume File on the Your Online Resume page during the Apply for a Job process.

  • Q: How do I apply if I don’t have a resume available?

A:  Select the I Am Not Providing a Resume” option.  It is not necessary to provide a resume to complete the process.  You can then upload the resume later using the Create/Update resume option later.

  • Q: The numbered steps at the top of the pages in the Apply for Job area do not allow me to move forward. Why?

A: Once completed, you can use them to navigate, but not before.  Each number turns blue when completed.  In addition, you can mouse over them to remember which information was provided in each step.

  • Q: There is a field called Your Unique Experience. What is it for?

A:  You can add information regarding why you are uniquely qualified for this job or to work at McKesson.  You may paste text using standard copy/paste controls into this area (right-click to paste, use Ctrl+V or select Paste from the Edit menu).  Please do not provide contact information in this section.

  • Q: Can I spellcheck the text that I entered?

A: Yes, click the icon next to the text box.  Spell check only reviews the text that is in the box on the current page.

  • Q:   I am looking at my resume online and it shows that I have only applied for one job. I have actually applied for three. Where are the other two?

A:   The resume history only shows jobs you applied for with this current version of your resume. Click View Resume History to find prior versions of your resume. Click on the older version of your resume to see which jobs were applied for using that version of your resume.

View Application Status

  • Q: Where can I see the status of my application?

    A:   Click View Application Status.

Job Search Agent

  • Q:  Can I save my search and have it run automatically?

A:   Yes, use the Job Agent. The process runs daily to show you newly available jobs that match your search criteria.

  • Q:  I no longer wish to receive emails showing jobs at McKesson.  How can I stop this?

A:   Log in and access the Job Agent that you previously saved. Press the Delete button to remove the job agent search criteria. You will now no longer receive emails.

  • Q: I just set up and saved a new Job Agent search. When I go to Job Agent Results, there are no results. Are there no open positions at McKesson?

A:   The Job Agent runs at scheduled intervals, so it may not have executed by the time you looked for results.  Check back later to see the Job Agent search results. Meanwhile, you can use the Job Agent results area to run ad hoc searches.

  • Q:Can I apply for a specific job when e-mailing my resume?

    A:Yes, you can.

In order to ensure that your resume gets routed appropriately, the e-mail subject line should read:

REQID - requisition number - referral source

For example, if you wanted to apply for requisition 1234 and you found the job listing in a Newspaper, the subject line of your e-mail would read: REQID - 1234 - Newspaper

Please note:  If your subject line is not formatted as shown in the sample subject line above, your application will not be applied to the job you have specifically indicated.  However, we will receive your application in our general pool of candidates.
