Benefits
No matter whether you are seeking an IT job or a warehouse job, if you work at least 30 hours a week, you are eligible for McKesson's benefits plan. The plan gives you the flexibility to select benefits that best suit your needs, and lets you pay using pre-tax dollars. Employees have the option to cover spouses, domestic partners, children or their entire family

Medical Coverage
McKesson offers several medical plan options depending on your office location. Preventive medical coverage and prescription drug coverage are included in all options.
These options include:
- A unique “Build Your Own” Point-of-Service option – you choose your deductible, co-insurance, copay amount to build a plan that best meets your needs
- An Out-of-Area option
- A Definity Consumer Driven Health Care option
- Local HMOs
Dental Coverage
You have two dental options:
- Dental PPO - The PPO covers 80% for basic and 50% for major restorative services up to a maximum of $1,500 per year (all charges are subject to reasonable and customary guidelines). The PPO dental plan also provides orthodontia coverage at 50% up to a lifetime maximum of $1,000 for children under 18.
- Dental DHMO - The DHMO covers 100 percent of preventative care with no calendar year maximum. Other services require a copayment, which varies with the type of service provided. The DHMO also provides orthodontia coverage for adults and children with no calendar year maximum (copayments apply).
Vision Coverage
Employees who elect coverage are eligible for eye exams each year, glasses or contact lenses each year, and frames every two years.
Basic and Supplemental Group Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment
McKesson provides a Basic Life and AD&D benefit of $50,000. In addition, you have the option of electing additional life and AD&D up to $1 million. Certain levels of life insurance may require evidence of insurability.
Dependent Life
McKesson gives you the option to purchase group life insurance for spouses, domestic partners or children. Certain levels of life insurance may require evidence of insurability.
Flexible Spending Accounts - Health Care andDependent Care (Health and Dependent Care)
The Spending Account options allow you to pay for certain health care or dependent care expenses with tax-free dollars. The maximum annual contribution to each type of account is $5,000.
Disability Income
McKesson provides both Short and Long Term Disability benefits for eligible employees if he or she becomes disabled from accident or illness. After a 7-day waiting period, Short Term Disability insurance provides a benefit of 100% of the employee's monthly base pay for 4 weeks, then 70% of monthly base pay for up to 21 weeks of disability.
The employee can also elect Long Term Disability insurance. If the employee is disabled more than 26 weeks, the Long Term Disability benefit pays 60% of his or her monthly base pay, with a maximum monthly benefit of $15,000.
