Mobile Document Management Application to Complete Patient Health RecordsIn today’s busy world, hospitals can benefit from technologies that allow physicians to do things on-the-go. McKesson understands this benefit and has a new solution that helps hospitals decrease deficient records and provides the mobile advantage. Horizon Patient Folder Mobile Deficiency Completion™ 1.0 provides a more convenient way for physicians to complete document deficiencies by extending this functionality to wireless iPhone®, iPad® or iPod touch® devices. A new solution in the Horizon Patient Folder™ product line, Horizon Patient Folder Mobile Deficiency Completion™ is a mobile document management application in which physicians have the ability to complete signature and text-editable signature deficiencies in the Horizon Patient Folder™ system through their iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch®. All that is needed is an Apple® mobile device with network access to the server components using a 3G connection or a wireless connection. The application includes robust functionality to sign and edit documents, decline deficiencies and view pertinent patient demographic data via the selected device. In addition, the application uses badge-push notifications to alert users that deficiencies exist. Physicians will have a quick and easy way to see the number of pending deficiencies without having to log into a computer. All access to the mobile document management application is controlled via log-in credentials defined in either Horizon Patient Folder or active directory. No patient data is stored on the device, and all data transport is encrypted to ensure security of patient information. Benefits
