Mobile Document Management Application to Complete Patient Health Records

Horizon Patient Folder Mobile Deficiency Completion™ 1.0 provides a more convenient way for physicians to complete document deficiencies by extending this functionality to wireless iPhone®, iPad® or iPod touch® devices.

A new solution in the Horizon Patient Folder™ product line, Horizon Patient Folder Mobile Deficiency Completion™ is a mobile document management application in which physicians have the ability to complete signature and text-editable signature deficiencies in the Horizon Patient Folder™ system through their iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch®. All that is needed is an Apple® mobile device with network access to the server components using a 3G connection or a wireless connection.

The application includes robust functionality to sign and edit documents, decline deficiencies and view pertinent patient demographic data via the selected device. In addition, the application uses badge-push notifications to alert users that deficiencies exist. Physicians will have a quick and easy way to see the number of pending deficiencies without having to log into a computer.

All access to the mobile document management application is controlled via log-in credentials defined in either Horizon Patient Folder or active directory. No patient data is stored on the device, and all data transport is encrypted to ensure security of patient information.
