American College of Physicians (ACP) EHR Partners Program: Center for Practice Improvement and Innovation
McKesson is a participant in the EHR Partners Program offered through the American College of Physician's Center for Practice Improvement and Innovation. Participation in this program is available to EHR systems that are certified by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology. Participation in the EHR Partners Program does not imply endorsement by ACP or the existence of any type of partnership or representative relationship between McKesson and ACP.

Medi-Span
Medi-Span's comprehensive drug interaction database has been integrated with Practice Partner Patient Records, double-checking all prescriptions written with Patient Records against possible allergic reactions or drug-to-drug reactions. Medi-Span, part of Wolters Kluwer Health, has provided comprehensive drug information for more than thirty years to healthcare professionals worldwide.
IMH
Practice Partner Patient Records users can now employ the Instant Medical History patient interview application to begin gathering the subjective history prior to the encounter, facilitating efficient data entry. Branching logic enables patients to progress quickly through adjustable questionnaires from an extensive medical knowledgebase. The information presents directly into the progress notes with appropriate E&M coding.
Clinical Reference
Practice Partner utilizes Clinical Reference Systems' Patient Education database, allowing patient educational materials to be printed or e-mailed directly from the point-of-care.

PPRNet
Practice Partner Research Network (PPRNet) was formed in partnership between McKesson and Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). PPRNet is a practice-based quality improvement and research network that provides clinical performance reporting on more than 80 separate quality of care indicators. Composed of more than 150 physician practices representing over 850 health care providers and approximately 1.8 million patients in 40 states, PPRNet is the only national organization collecting EHR clinical data for research purposes.

The Health Level Seven (HL7) Standard, an ANSI approved American National Standard for electronic data exchange in healthcare, enables disparate computer applications to exchange key sets of clinical and administrative information. MDConsult
Practice Partner users have the ability to access MDConsult.com's Web-based clinical information databases directly from within the application. This access provides physicians with a comprehensive range of full-text clinical resources from any networked PC.
