InterQual Education and Training FAQ's

What type of training is offered?
McKesson offers Web-based high-level software navigation, system access and security settings courses for our technology customers, training for criteria-only customers, and onsite training for criteria and technology customers.

How long does training take?
Length of training depends on the number of InterQual criteria sets you wish to be trained on.

How many people can be in a training session at once?
For onsite technology training, up to 10 people participate; for onsite criteria-only training, up to 20 people participate; and for Web-based criteria-only training, up to 15 people participate. We recommend that our clients carefully examine your staffing levels to make certain you have enough coverage while others are being trained and to determine how many sessions you need to successfully train all users.

Where is onsite training held?
Training is typically held at your location unless other arrangements are made.

Do you have a train-the-trainer program?
Yes. This program is geared to organizations that have a lot of turnover or are large in size. McKesson educators train “super users” so that they have the proper materials and knowledge to train other users.
