Criteria Application

Using instruction and case studies, InterQual® Education Consultants teach attendees about the structure, purpose and application of InterQual clinical guidelines. Software customers also learn about CareEnhance® Review Manager Enterprise if applicable. This program is available for all criteria sets.

  • Audience: Reviewers, supervisors, managers, and team leads
  • Delivery: The Web or onsite for book-based customers; onsite for CareEnhance Review Manager or CareEnhance Review Manager Enterprise customers


Product Update and Refresher

InterQual Education Consultants review the InterQual clinical guidelines processes and updates since the previous criteria version.

  • Audience: Reviewers, supervisors, managers, and team leads
  • Delivery: The Web for book customers or onsite for CareEnhance Review Manager or CareEnhance Review Manager Enterprise customers


Certified Instructor

This program trains pre-qualified users to teach the application of InterQual clinical guidelines within their organizations, enabling an efficient training program. Attendees must complete a pre-test.

  • Audience: Staff members with minimum of one year of UM/CM experience, six months of experience using InterQual Criteria (or proof of attendance at a McKesson-led training program), experience in adult education and proficiency in a Windows environment
  • Delivery: Onsite


Physician Education

InterQual Education Consultants discuss InterQual clinical guidelines and the ways in which the criteria support decisions made on reviews.

  • Audience: Medical directors and physician advisors
  • Delivery: Onsite


Onsite Mentoring

An InterQual Education Consultant assists organizations with first-time implementations of InterQual clinical guidelines.
