InterQual Criteria currently span five areas:

• InterQual Behavioral Health Criteria
  Assists in managing the delivery of mental health and substance use care, including initial and concurrent level of care decisions up and down the continuum of care for seniors, adults, adolescents and children.
  
  
• InterQual Care Planning Criteria
  Supports identification of appropriateness of imaging studies, procedures, DME and specialty referral consultations; may be applied prospectively or retrospectively to manage utilization and identify differences in practice patterns.
  
  
• InterQual Clinical Evidence Summaries
  White papers that synthesize medical research on over 200 complex, controversial or emerging diagnoses and conditions to support second-level medical review recommendations and promote evidence-based standards of care.
