BROOMFIELD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--McKesson Health Solutions, a business unit of McKesson Corporation, today announced that James Hardy has been named senior vice president of its care management services division. In this role, Hardy will oversee the division’s disease management services, which focus on the Medicaid market. “I’m very pleased to have Jim on board. He has an exceptional background that combines management, healthcare and government experience, which will serve as an outstanding foundation to further build success for our care management services,” said Emad Rizk, M.D., president, McKesson Health Solutions. Hardy starts Aug. 4, 2008. Hardy’s Medicaid experience stems from his role as deputy secretary of the Office of Medical Assistance Programs in the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW). While at DPW he developed and implemented the ACCESS Plus program, an enhanced primary care case management program that includes disease management for more than 280,000 Medicaid beneficiaries. The award-winning disease management program – administered by McKesson Health Solutions – improves access to services and beneficiary health status. “McKesson Health Solutions provides an outstanding service to states and high-cost, high-risk Medicaid beneficiaries.
