McKesson Health Solutions Conference 2008 Brings Providers, Payors and Industry Experts Together

NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--McKesson will welcome hundreds of payor and provider customers from over 185 organizations across the nation to its 2008 McKesson Health Solutions Conference beginning October 21 in San Antonio, Texas. Representatives from hospitals, Blues companies, commercial health plans, plus government organizations will come together at the conference to share their business challenges and ideas, along with the ways they have worked with McKesson to achieve results.

The theme “Taking Care Forward” will run throughout the event as industry experts share their expertise on current trends and sessions focus on optimizing the use of McKesson’s solutions to facilitate clinical, administrative and financial alignment. McKesson will offer more than 150 interactive educational sessions in total, with client speakers taking a leading role in many of the sessions.

Grealy will be joined at the conference by other leaders such as Cheri Lattimer, RN, BSN, executive director of the Case Management Society of America. Also, roundtables with physician and industry leaders throughout the event will give participants an opportunity to discuss the industry’s most pressing issues.

This year’s conference will address the most current industry topics, such as the burgeoning area of molecular diagnostics, the extension of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recovery audits and the transition to ICD 10 codes. New McKesson solutions will be showcased including fraud and abuse detection and management, contract modeling and network contract management, recovery audit support and claims analytics.
