NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Emad Rizk, MD, president of McKesson Health Solutions, will share his views on technology-enabled care trends during a panel at the 2008 Connected Health Symposium, hosted by the Center for Connected Health, a division of Partners HealthCare. The panel, titled Who Provides, Who Decides, Who Pays: Consumers, Clinicians and Business Models in the Connected Care Era, takes place October 28 in Boston. Dr. Rizk will be joined by other healthcare experts to scrutinize pressing healthcare issues such as telehealth, patient self-management and remote chronic disease management.

A world renowned authority on the healthcare industry, Dr. Rizk has over 20 years of professional experience in providing healthcare organizations with groundbreaking strategies and actionable advice on a wide range of care management and claims performance issues. He has made significant contributions to the industry by connecting payors, physicians, hospital systems and pharmaceutical organizations through healthcare information technology. The Connected Health Symposium is a golden opportunity for doctors, nurses, hospital executives and healthcare entrepreneurs to share their experiences and opinions about the increasing importance of connecting all stakeholders within the health community through technology, said Dr. Rizk. My contribution will be based on insights gained through my long experience with McKesson and other organizations focused on improving the efficiency and quality of all aspects of healthcare.
