McKesson Showcases Innovative Solutions to Bend the Healthcare Cost Trend

Recognizing the inefficiencies created by payors’ numerous but typically disconnected programs directed to the same member or patient, McKesson is spotlighting a holistic care management approach with InterQual ^® Criteria and McKesson Total Coordinated Care ^TM . Care management workflow and InterQual content are foundational to Total Coordinated Care. With this foundation in place, other care management programs can be integrated into the workflow platform to connect data sources, audiences and initiatives. By connecting programs and audiences across care management disciplines, Total Coordinated Care drives down medical and administrative expense and improves patient care.

Another AHIP highlight will be McKesson’s Advanced Diagnostics Management ^TM (ADM) solution which targets the exploding use of molecular and genetic tests. ADM combines point of care decision support technology, InterQual evidence-based content and analytic services to support a comprehensive medical and network management program that drives effective use of molecular diagnostics and minimizes medical spend.

Finally, because payment reform demands more from payor technology than ever before, McKesson will spotlight its innovative McKesson Total Payment ^TM solution, which provides automated tools that apply clinical, waste prevention and contract intelligence to virtually every payment decision a payor encounters. This solution allows payors to better align with providers on improving payment accuracy, reducing rework, and decreasing costly manual interventions.
