McKesson Software Earns Certification for Eighth Year

McKesson’s CareEnhance^® HealthPlan Reporter^TM 5.8.1.1 was awarded the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS^®) Software Certification^SM from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Further, the New York State Department of Health certified it for Quality Assurance Reporting Requirements (QARR).

The voluntary HEDIS certification program tests 57 measures across 7 domains of care to ensure the integrity of commercial software products that produce HEDIS results. HEDIS, used by more than 90 percent of America’s health plans, makes it possible to compare the performance of health plans on an "apples-to-apples" basis, and health plans themselves use HEDIS results to see where they need to focus their improvement efforts.

QARR, a set of clinical and administrative performance measures largely adopted from HEDIS, was developed by the New York State Department of Health to enable consumers to evaluate the quality of healthcare services provided by New York state's managed care plans. This is McKesson’s sixth year with QARR certification.

HealthPlan Reporter is one of may tools that comprise the CareEnhance^® Resource Management Software (CRMS™) suite, the industry’s most widely used business intelligence software, relied upon by more than 75 health plans for their analytical and reporting needs.
