McKesson Pharmacy Systems (MPS), a business unit of McKesson Corporation, today announced that Mark Sancrainte, Vice President of Professional Affairs, was elected to the American Society for Automation in Pharmacy (ASAP) Board of Directors. Mark Sancrainte will serve a two-year term on ASAP Board of Directors LIVONIA, February 14, 2007 – McKesson Pharmacy Systems (MPS), a business unit of McKesson Corporation, today announced that Mark Sancrainte, Vice President of Professional Affairs, was elected to the American Society for Automation in Pharmacy (ASAP) Board of Directors. ASAP’s mission is to assist its members in advancing the application of computer technology in the pharmacist’s role as caregiver and in the efficient operation and management of a pharmacy. Mark brings more than 25 years of broad-based experience in retail pharmacy and related businesses to the ASAP Board. His background includes chain drugstore management, independent pharmacy ownership, operation of a group purchasing organization, operation of a small PBM, and extensive third party and pharmacy management systems experience in the regional chain drug store and pharmacy system vendor environments. A graduate of the University of Michigan and a licensed pharmacist, he is a member of several national associations that represent the pharmacy industry and related technology interests, including:
