The passage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) provides incentives to encourage healthcare organizations and office-based physicians to tap into the power of electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare IT solutions that reduce costs by improving quality, safety and efficiency. Hospitals that demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHRs and core clinical systems could be eligible for between $2 million to $8 million.
