Marc E. Owen

Marc E. Owen
President, McKesson Specialty Health

Marc E. Owen is president of McKesson Specialty Health and a member of McKesson’s Operating Team. He is responsible for leading McKesson’s businesses delivering specialty care and services, including The US Oncology Network, oncology services, vaccines distribution, manufacturer services and multi-specialty offerings. McKesson Specialty Health supports The US Oncology Network and empowers the community patient care delivery system to advance the science, technology and quality of care. Through innovative clinical, research business and operational solutions facilitated by integrated technology systems, McKesson Specialty Health is focused on empowering a vibrant and sustainable community patient care delivery system. The US Oncology Network is one of the nation’s largest networks of community-based oncology physicians serving more than 850,000 cancer patients annually.

Prior to his appointment as President of McKesson Specialty Health in February 2012, Owen was executive vice president of Corporate Strategy and Business Development for McKesson Corporation and a member of the Company’s Executive Committee. Under Owen’s leadership, McKesson pursued a strategy based on improving the cost and quality of healthcare. He played key roles in focusing individual business unit strategies complemented by initiatives that cut across the company with an emphasis on growth. On the merger and acquisition front, he oversaw more than 40 transactions including the acquisition of ALI Technologies (medical imaging), D&K Healthcare (pharmaceutical distribution), Moore Medical (medical supplies), Per-SeTechnologies (healthcare technology), Oncology Therapeutic Network (Specialty Pharmaceuticals), US Oncology (oncology services), and the banner and franchise stores of the Katz group in Canada. Owen is a Board member of Nadro S.A., and MedVantx. He previously served on the Boards of Verispan LLC and Proventys.

Owen joined McKesson in 2001 as senior vice president of Corporate Strategy and Business Development. Prior to joining McKesson he was CEO of MindCrossing. He spent 12 years at McKinsey and Company and was elected a senior partner (director) in 1998. During his time at McKinsey he served clients in the healthcare and technology industries.

He was a founding partner of McKinsey’s office in Palo Alto and led the Western U.S. for McKinsey’s Business Technology Office. He was recognized by Consulting Magazine as one of the top consultants in the area of business and technology.

Owen grew up in Wales and was educated at Oxford University where he graduated with double first class honors degrees in Law. He was a member of the law faculty at Cambridge University, a member of the English Bar, and subsequently obtained his MBA from Stanford in 1987. He currently lives in Silicon Valley and is married with two daughters.

Mark Walchirk
Chief Operating Officer

Mark Walchirk, chief operating officer of McKesson Specialty Health, is responsible for driving growth and profitability across many of our provider programs, including oncology and multispecialty businesses, as well as our GPO, distribution operations, clinical operations, vaccines, oral pharmaceuticals, marketing and managed distribution. Prior to his current role, Walchirk served as president for McKesson Specialty Care Solutions, a division of McKesson Corporation.

Previously, Walchirk served as senior vice president (SVP) and chief operating officer of McKesson U.S. Pharmaceutical, and was responsible for McKesson’s pharmaceutical sales, distribution and customer service operations in the U.S., where McKesson is the leading pharmaceutical wholesaler. Walchirk had been in this role since 2006.

Walchirk joined McKesson in 2001 as senior vice president, National Accounts. He was named SVP of the southwest region in 2003. Walchirk led the successful integration of McKesson and D&K Healthcare Resources, the St. Louis-based wholesaler McKesson acquired in mid-2005.

Before joining McKesson, Walchirk spent 13 years in medical-surgical distribution and manufacturing with Baxter Healthcare, Allegiance Healthcare and Encompass Group, holding various leadership positions in sales, marketing, operations and business development.

Walchirk is a 1988 graduate of the University of Illinois holding a BS in business administration. He also serves on the board for the Center for Healthcare Supply Chain Research and GS1 Healthcare US. .

Chuck Dowling

Chuck Dowling
Senior Vice President (The US Oncology Network)

Chuck Dowling has responsibility for physician services, specifically customers in The US Oncology Network relationship. Previously, he was the senior vice president of regional operations for US Oncology, serving the Texas Oncology physician practices - the largest practice in The US Oncology Network, with over 300 physicians, 40 cancer centers, 120 sites of service and 3000 employees.

Dowling joined US Oncology, now McKesson Specialty Health, in July of 1999 and has helped the company grow from a practice management company into a comprehensive oncology solutions organization that touches nearly every aspect of advancing the quality of patient care and the science of cancer care. Dowling’s 35-year career includes experiences on both the product and service side of healthcare. He started his professional career with Baxter Healthcare, where he spent eight of his eleven years with the company as an expatriate, managing quality control and manufacturing operations in the Caribbean, Middle East, Europe and Asia. After Baxter, Dowling’s experiences included sales and marketing manager, Australian Filtration company; a manager of manufacturing operations for Cordis Corporation; a general manager for Caremark in their Home Infusion Therapy business; a regional vice president in Texas for Vitas Hospice, and just prior to US Oncology, a vice president for a home care and medical equipment provider in Dallas, Texas.

Roy Beveridge

Roy Beveridge, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer

Roy A. Beveridge, M.D., is Chief Medical Officer for McKesson Specialty Health. He was part of US Oncology’s executive team as executive vice president and medical director, and continued as part of the leadership team of McKesson Specialty Health after McKesson acquired the company in 2010. Prior to joining US Oncology, Dr. Beveridge served as a medical oncologist caring for patients at Virginia Cancer Specialists in Northern Virginia within The US Oncology Network.

Dr. Beveridge received his BA from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD and his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York, N.Y. He completed his residency in internal medicine at University of Chicago Hospitals and his fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.

Dr. Beveridge has been published extensively in the field of stem cell transplantation, medical oncology and hematology. He has worked with many organizations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology; the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation; and been involved with Patient Value-Based Payment Methodology and Public Policy.

Donna Bowers

Donna Bowers
Senior Vice President, Hospital Strategy

Donna Bowers, JD, RHIA, CHP, is the senior vice president, Hospital Strategy, for McKesson Specialty Health. Bowers is part of the senior leadership team working to develop new models for uniting physicians and hospitals so they can better serve cancer patients in this rapidly changing health care environment. Previously, Bowers served as Chief Operating Officer for the Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center and the Baylor Cancer Hospital and Vice President of Oncology services for the Baylor Health Care System.

Bowers has been in health care more than 32 years. She is a licensed attorney, certificated in health care privacy and also as a registered health information administrator.

Bowers has a Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan Law School and a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Woman’s University.

Grant Bogle

Grant Bogle
Senior Vice President, Pharmaceutical & Biotech Solutions

Grant Bogle joined US Oncology, now McKesson Specialty Health, in June 2007 as senior vice president, regional operations, Northeast region. In the summer of 2009, he was appointed to the executive committee of US Oncology, and later assumed responsibility overseeing research, marketing, communications and bio-pharmaceutical sales. Following the merger between McKesson Specialty Care Solutions and US Oncology. Bogle assumed responsibility for the majority of MSH’s pharmaceutical and biotech-facing businesses including US Oncology Research (USOR), Reimbursement, Access and Safety Services (RA&SS) and Informatics.

Previously, Bogle was senior vice president of sales and marketing for Millennium Pharmaceuticals where he was responsible for the oncology product, VELCADE. Prior to joining Millennium, he held senior sales and marketing roles with Roche Pharmaceuticals, Knoll Pharmaceuticals, DuPont, and American Critical Care (a division of American Hospital Supply Corp). He holds an MBA from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree in economics from Dartmouth College.

Diana K. Verrilli

Diana K. Verrilli
Vice President and General Manager, Payer & Revenue Cycle Services

Diana K. Verrilli is vice president of Payer and Revenue Cycle Services in McKesson Specialty Health. In this capacity she focuses on the development and execution of the company’s managed care and revenue cycle strategies for its national network of community oncologists. Verrilli was previously with the Corporate Strategy and Business Development group and supported the acquisition of US Oncology.

Today, she directs the managed care contracting, revenue cycle optimization, patient assistance programs and other network programs that enable community oncologists to be successful as they navigate new payer policies, health care reform and reimbursement challenges.

Verrilli has over twenty-five years of operating, business development and strategy experience in the health care industry. Before joining McKesson, Verrilli was a research associate at the Urban Institute, and published widely on topics related to physician reimbursement and comparative health system review. She conducted health services research and began her career at the Harvard School of Public Health where she worked for five years with William Hsiao, Ph.D. on the Medicare Resource-Based Relative Value Study. This study was the basis of a new physician payment system that CMS implemented in 1992.

Verrilli has a master’s degree from the Harvard University School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Smith College.

Matt Brow

Matt Brow
Vice President, Public Policy & Reimbursement Strategy

Matt Brow is vice president of Public Policy & Reimbursement Strategy in the Washington, DC office of McKesson Specialty Health. In this role, Brow directs the activities of McKesson Specialty Health’s Government Relations && Public Policy staff, leads the division’s federal and state legislative and regulatory initiatives, and oversees all related research and analysis projects, and public outreach and grassroots advocacy efforts in support of the division’s federal and state public policy goals. Additionally, he is focused on defining and implementing an integrated reimbursement strategy covering both public and private payers to help our industry successfully traverse the shift to value-based payment. He also serves as Treasurer of The US Oncology Network PAC.

Brow joined McKesson Specialty Health’s predecessor company, US Oncology, in July 2004 and has been working in the legislative and political arena since 1996. Prior to joining the company, Brow worked closely with US Oncology and its affiliated practices in Virginia for over 4 years as vice president of Kemper Consulting, one of Virginia's premier state government relations firms.

Brow received his BA in History and Political Science from the University of Richmond, Virginia and is a Fellow of the University of Virginia's Sorensen Institute of Political Leadership. He lives in Arlington, VA with his wife Lauren, six-year-old son Matthew and two-year-old daughter Marin.

Asif Ahmad

Asif Ahmad
Senior Vice President, Technology

Asif Ahmad joined US Oncology, now a part of McKesson Specialty Health, in 2010 as the executive vice president, Technology Services. He currently manages Information and Technology Services, where he is responsible for leading the development and evolution of strategy related to information technology and the company’s several information technology-based businesses and services.
 
Ahmad served as vice president, Diagnostic Service and chief information officer, and associate dean, Academic Computing and Imaging, School of Medicine at Duke University Health System and Medical Center from 2003 to 2010. Prior to that, he was administrator and chief information officer at The Ohio State University Health system and Medical Center. He earned an MBA at Max M. Fisher College of Business, a MS in biomedical engineering at The Ohio State University and a BS (Honors) in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, Pakistan.

Kirk Kaminsky

Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development

Kirk Kaminsky is currently Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, supporting McKesson Specialty Health. In this role, Kirk is responsible developing and driving strategic initiatives across the organization and leading a Houston based strategy team. Kirk also provides strategic guidance and insight as a member of the McKesson Specialty Health leadership team.

Kaminsky has been with McKesson since 2003. Most recently, Kaminsky was Senior Vice President of McKesson’s U.S. Pharmaceutical Packaging Division, with direct P&L ownership and oversight of McKesson’s RxPak and Sky Pharmaceuticals. Kaminsky joined McKesson as a member of the Corporate Strategy and Business Development Group in San Francisco.

Prior to McKesson, Kaminsky was with Bank One Corporation where he was responsible for setting and executing payment strategies across the commercial and retail bank. He also worked with Lehman Brothers for several years as an investment banking financial analyst, concentrating on corporate finance for healthcare and consumer retail.

Kaminsky received a M.B.A. from The Wharton School and a B.A. in Economics for Business from Occidental College.

Jennifer Webster

Jennifer Webster
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer Webster is senior vice president and chief financial officer for McKesson Specialty Health, a division of McKesson Corporation. She has served in this capacity since 2007. In this role, she is responsible for managing all aspects of the financial organization, including financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, long-range financial strategic plans, accounting, GAAP and SEC compliance, internal controls, customer pricing, procurement and credit. She also acts as a business partner and driver in growing business earnings organically and through acquisitions, including Oncology Therapeutics Network and US Oncology.

Webster’s experience across the finance spectrum includes financial planning, business analytics, operations finance and mergers and acquisitions. She joined McKesson in 2001 as director of Finance for the U.S. Pharmaceutical organization and was promoted to vice president, Financial Planning and Analysis. In 2005, she moved into the Corporate Finance division in a similar capacity.

During her years at McKesson, Webster has distinguished herself as a highly capable leader, skilled at developing strong teams, forging effective relationships and developing highly-effective finance organizations.

Prior to joining McKesson, Webster held several different finance positions over eight years at General Electric and was director of Finance for Scient Corporation.

Webster holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and completed the Executive Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management.

Anne-Marie Law 

Anne-Marie Law
Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Anne-Marie Law is the senior vice president of Human Resources for McKesson Specialty Health, a division of McKesson Corporation. She joined McKesson Corporation as vice president, Human Resources in April 2009, leading the Corporate Human Resources team based in San Francisco.

Law has a successful track record in the United States and Europe in senior human resources roles at Verisign, Xilinix and Intel in the technology sector, as well as Marks and Spencer, a large British retailer. With a strong background in organizational change, employee engagement and talent development, Law has demonstrated the ability to drive business performance. She also has a passion for building and collaborating with teams within HR and across functions.  

Law is a native of England and received her Diploma in Personnel Management at the National College of Ireland, and BA at Leicester University in the UK.

Paul Sturm

Paul Sturm
Vice President, Compliance & Ethics

Paul Sturm joined McKesson Specialty Health in February 2012 from OptumInsight, a division of UnitedHealth Group, where he was responsible for overall management of the organizations Compliance and Privacy programs. Sturm brings an extensive background in Compliance Program management that includes physician practices, hospitals, hospice, Medicare and Medicaid programs, commercial payers, Managed Care and Business Associate responsibilities.

Sturm holds a Master's Degree in Management from DePaul University and a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Roosevelt University.
