Fourteen Local Organizations Receive Funding For Health Projects Benefiting Youth and Families

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. March 4, 2009 — The McKesson Foundation today announced it will be awarding a total of $100,000 in grants to fourteen Phoenix- and one Tucson- area nonprofit organizations during a check presentation event at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. Grant funds will be used to support health and wellness programs benefiting youth and families in the community.

McKesson Foundation grants are presented annually to nonprofit organizations serving the Phoenix metro area and nationwide. Founded in 1943, the McKesson Foundation envisions a world where affordable, quality healthcare is available to all. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting McKesson employees' community involvement efforts and optimizing the health of patients through improved healthcare quality, personal health management and lower healthcare costs.
