Fourteen Local Organizations Receive Funding For Health Projects Benefiting Youth and Families SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. March 4, 2009 — The McKesson Foundation today announced it will be awarding a total of $100,000 in grants to fourteen Phoenix- and one Tucson- area nonprofit organizations during a check presentation event at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. Grant funds will be used to support health and wellness programs benefiting youth and families in the community. “Supporting the local communities where our employees live and work is a core value of McKesson,” said Heather Morel, Vice President and General Manager, Reimbursement & Access Services for McKesson Specialty Care Solutions. “As the largest and oldest operating company in healthcare, we salute these non-profit organizations whose objective is to enhance the health of the youth across Arizona and are proud to provide this support especially during these challenging economic times.” McKesson Foundation grants are presented annually to nonprofit organizations serving the Phoenix metro area and nationwide.
