Steering Anesthesiology Into the Future

Across the Mid-Atlantic health care delivery is undergoing significant changes with respect to where care is delivered, how care is paid for and who delivers the care. With value based and efficiency driven care models coming to the fore, our members and fellow anesthesiologists are facing significant changes in their practices. It is becoming incumbent on all physician anesthesiologists to better understand the changing health care environment and how to ensure their ongoing role in providing safe, efficient and quality anesthesia care. The goal of our program is to show physician anesthesiologists how to become leaders in this reform era and what opportunities and challenges lay ahead.

The primary target audience(s) are the anesthesiologists that live and work in the Mid-Atlantic states. This includes not only the members of the societies that comprise MASA, but those ASA members (and non-members) from Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, and the United States Armed Forces.
