NCCN Policy Summit: Defining, Measuring, and Applying Quality in an Evolving Health Policy Landscape and the Implications for Cancer Care

Diana Verrilli, senior vice president of Strategy and Practice Solutions for McKesson and The US Oncology Network, will give a keynote on the Oncology Care Model and its overall implications on cancer care delivery.

The summit will explore the application and measurement of quality in cancer care delivery systems, and the future of defining, standardizing, and reporting quality in cancer care. It will examine past and current efforts to develop and implement outcomes-based oncology quality measures and related programs, such as the Alternative Payment Models (APMs), the role these measures play in policy decision-making, whether the patient experience is being considered, and how patient care is improving as a result. The summit will also evaluate how clinical utility and personalized medicine outcomes shape healthcare regulations and implications for the delivery of personalized care. Additionally, the impact of real-world evidence and real-world data on clinical trial design and regulatory decision-making will be considered.
