Together, intraFUSION and McKesson Specialty Health will increase access to infusion services in community-based physician offices
The Woodlands, Texas (June 22, 2017)— McKesson Specialty Health, a division of McKesson Corporation that works together with stakeholders across the healthcare delivery system to preserve and strengthen specialty care, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire intraFUSION, a Houston-based provider of management services for physician office infusion centers. The combined organization will bring new infusion management capabilities to McKesson’s broad portfolio of offerings for community-based physician practices.
The transaction is expected to close early in the second half of 2017. Following the close of the transaction, intraFUSION will become part of McKesson’s specialty health business, offering a single-source manager to providers who are treating patients in their offices with infused medications for complex disease management.
