As the cost of prescription drugs continues to rise in the U.S., many patients face often face a harsh reality of choosing between paying a bill or for their medication. In fact, 24% of people taking prescription drugs noted that they had difficulty affording their medication, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation poll. But, patient assistance programs (PAPs) help solve this challenge by providing prescription drugs at little or no cost to eligible patients.
