Supporting the Fight Against Cancer

Cancer touches us all. It’s also the focus of our employee volunteer programs.

As a healthcare company, we create better health for patients. We focus our volunteering and giving on support for cancer patients. While we look forward to a world without cancer, we’re also making a difference for people who are living with it today.

Since 2012, we’ve created tens of thousands of cancer care packages for patients across North America. We also generate grants for our network of nonprofit Cancer Care Community Partners in 350 locations. And we are growing the marrow registry because we know that for many patients with blood cancers, a marrow transplant is their best hope for a cure.

    Providing hope through care packages

Giving Comfort is a nonprofit program of the McKesson Foundation. Since 2012, it has provided tens of thousands of cancer patients with care packages. The packages provide comfort items and show patients that others care about their well-being.

Volunteering together and showing we care

A proud tradition since 1998, Community Days is our largest employee event of the year. Each fall, employees and their children create care packages for Giving Comfort. As volunteers, they also earn grants to support patient services.

  • Inspiring employees to save a life

Thousands of our employees and family members have joined the marrow registry through the McKesson Marrow Drive. Finding a match can lead to a cure for patients with leukemia and other blood cancers. By growing the marrow registry, we help save lives.

Bringing together fitness and a great cause

McKesson in Motion is our charity wellness challenge. By getting active, employees unlock grants for our nonprofit partners and earn wellness points through our Vitality program.
