Specialty Public Policy

Our Public Policy team advocates on behalf of community based practices for the advancement of research, technology and patient safety and is focused on ensuring patients have access to the best possible care, close to home.

McKesson is advocating on behalf of community practices

We recognize that legislative activity in Washington can have a significant impact on your practice and the patients you treat every day. The McKesson Specialty Health Public Policy team is dedicated to supporting community providers through direct advocacy, political engagement, conducting policy analysis and sharing relevant communications. Our public policy efforts support all specialty areas including oncology, neurology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, urology, and ophthalmology.

This website provides access to relevant information about public policy initiatives and legislation that impact your community practice. In addition to customized content, you will also find resources to support your advocacy efforts. All politics is local. It’s more important than ever to advocate for your practice by getting to know your representatives to educate them about your practice and industry.

Join the monthly legislative teleconference

The McKesson Specialty Health Government Relations and Public Affairs team hosts a monthly teleconference for community providers to get updates and discuss key healthcare policy issues. The meeting is held on the third Wednesday of each month at 4:00pm EST / 1:00pm PST. Contact us to get access to the call details. This program has prior approval of AAPC for 1.0 Continuing Education Unit and may qualify for continuing education credit for the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE).
