At ASHP 22, McKesson’s RxO team discussed how they can help health systems achieve more streamlined workflows, increase PAP savings, reduce delays in patient treatment, and most importantly improve patient outcomes.
O’Mally Monahan, vice president, Operations, McKesson RxO, was on-hand to provide live-demos and discuss how health systems can maximize recovery efforts to support patient care with McKesson’s Patient Assistance Program (PAP) or with the PAP Recovery Navigator solution for in-house management. This included McKesson’s new First Dose Technology, which integrates directly with hospital scheduling data to identify PAP-eligible patients prior to their arrival for treatments.
“It was extremely rewarding to see customers back in person at ASHP last week. We had the opportunity to live demo McKesson’s latest and greatest value-added solutions to our health systems customers. McKesson has the unique ability to partner with our health systems customers by bringing products and solutions to help solve their challenges so they can get back to what really matters, the patient.” -O’Mally Monahan

Also at the booth, attendees engaged with Nicole Mayo, Lead Analytics Consultant with McKesson Pharmacy Optimization RxInsight team, as she discussed how McKesson supports health system customers in making key decisions using the McKesson Corporation Utilization Analytics (UA) tool. Nicole demoed for a crowd how equipping health system pharmacies with data insights allows them to collaborate with revenue cycle, finance, and supply chain stakeholders and contribute to critical decisions which impact the entire health system.
Nicole highlighted how UA can help customers navigate the complexities of the emerging biosimilar market and payer reimbursement nuances to ensure their pharmacy business remains financially viable, as well as the importance of monitoring the constantly changing healthcare landscape.
“Interacting with our health system customers at ASHP provided the opportunity for them to see the Utilization Analytics (UA) tool in action and facilitated organic conversation. After identifying pain points and priorities, I demonstrated how UA tool data insights could be leveraged to meet their desired outcomes. The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive – a testament to how comprehensive and dynamic the UA tool is.” –Nicole Mayo
