Hurricane Dorian is anticipated to impact Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina where McKesson currently operates and serves the community. We are experienced in disaster preparedness and we are committed to providing pharmacies, hospitals and patients with the medicine and supplies they need – uninterrupted during this difficult time.
We are continuing to track Hurricane Dorian as our purchasing and operations teams are taking steps to mitigate any downstream inventory impacts related to storm causes.

Sept. 3: Rx Open is now activated in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina for customers to see what pharmacies are open near them and for pharmacies to share that they’re open.
Sept. 3: Our Atlanta-area pharmaceutical distribution center filled an additional 30,000 orders than usual last night. All three pharmaceutical distribution centers servicing the impacted areas are still delivering to customers.
Aug. 30: With FEMA declaring an emergency, we have opened our evacuation assistance grants (Get You to Safety grants) for employees in counties impacted by Hurricane Dorian.
Aug. 30: We have alerted our Florida specialty customers and The US Oncology Network of potential delivery impacts. Tuesday, Sept. 3 deliveries may experience delays. Aug. 30: We're preparing to assist the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Health and Human Services should the need arise.
Aug. 29: Our Florida pharmaceutical distribution center filled 40% more orders for medicine with 99% order accuracy meaning patients and customers will have their medicine during this difficult time.
Aug. 29: We have accounted for our employees in Puerto Rico and our distribution center is also in great condition.
Aug. 28: We’re calling our Florida and Puerto Rico customers to check on them and encourage them to order what they need ahead of the storm.
Aug. 28: We’re building inventory for key items (antibiotics, cardiology medicines, insulin, saline and wound care, etc.) in our Florida pharmaceutical distribution center.
