Building Healthier Communities

We’re all about creating healthier communities. Through partnerships with philanthropic organizations and other entities, as well as the generosity and engagement of our employees, we’ve found many ways to improve care for those who need it most.

Giving Back to Those in Need

We help remove barriers to quality healthcare across the U.S., addressing needs of a broad range of stakeholders and enhancing the health of communities.

Measuring Our Impact in North America

As an impact-driven organization, we have a long history of serving communities and we continue that tradition in many ways. From volunteering with local charities to launching new programs to better serve patients, we have found many ways to come together for greater impact and to live our purpose of Advancing Health Outcomes for All®.

Supporting the Fight Against Cancer

Thanks to our longstanding partnership with the American Cancer Society (ACS), Cancer Doesn’t Stand a Chance®. Together, we have supported cancer research, access to care initiatives, and screening and prevention efforts.

For the sixth consecutive year, McKesson joined in the Fit2Be Cancer Free Challenge supporting the American Cancer Society (ACS) and the Canadian Cancer Society. The Challenge brings together Fortune 500 companies to compete in taking as many steps as possible while raising awareness for cancer prevention and treatment. Nearly 4,600 employees participated in April 2025, helping McKesson to finish first in both the number of total steps (over 360 million steps) and total distance (nearly 160,000 miles).

Supporting World Cancer Day

In recognition of World Cancer Day in February 2025, McKesson made a donation to American Cancer Society in support of their Hope Lodge Program. As a home away from home, Hope Lodge® provides a community of support and a free place to stay for people facing cancer and their caregivers when their treatment is far away.

By working together as one team, we can pool our resources, knowledge and expertise to maximize our reach and drive lasting change in the communities that need it most.
