Cancer Centers of North Carolina (CCNC) is expanding its gynecologic oncology program through the addition of Jennifer M. Rubatt, MD.
Raleigh, N.C. (August 1, 2011) - Cancer Centers of North Carolina (CCNC), a 19- physician practice dedicated to community-based cancer care since 1979, is expanding its gynecologic oncology program through the addition of Jennifer M. Rubatt, MD.
"Having Dr. Rubatt on our physician team will further our mission to provide the most advanced, comprehensive and compassionate cancer care in a community-based setting," said Monica Brown Jones, MD, MS, FACS, FACOG, gynecologic oncologist, CCNC. "Her specialized training and clinical research in the field of gynecologic oncology make her a valuable addition to our team of dedicated cancer care professionals."
Dr. Rubatt received her Medical Doctorate from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Virginia and completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA. She has authored numerous publications and presentations in the field of gynecologic oncology.
Dr. Rubatt will work alongside Dr. Jones to treat patients with gynecologic malignancies. CCNC is the only center to provide high-dose rate brachytherapy radiation for cervical cancer and intraperitoneal chemotherapy for ovarian cancer in Wake County and employs the only board-certified, fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologist dedicated to Wake County.
CCNC strives to provide patient consultations within 72 hours, and patients are routinely seen in the same day as a referral is made. Dr. Rubatt will begin seeing patients on August 8.
