PITTSBURGH, December 17, 2012—As part of McKesson Pharmacy System’s (MPS) ongoing commitment to promote and support the adoption of e-prescribing, MPS is pleased to announce it will pass along Surescripts’ recent cost reductions in e-prescribing fees to its customers.
“MPS&A is dedicated to the development of technology that helps improve health care for all patients, and we believe in rewarding innovators for being enthusiastic adopters of technology such as e-prescribing,” said Joe Montler, vice president of marketing, strategy and business development, McKesson Pharmacy Systems.
MPS customers will see the benefits of this price reduction beginning January 1, 2013. This reduction will also be retroactive to January 1, 2012. A separate credit reflecting this adjustment will be posted to each customer’s account beginning in January 2013.
