The
Woodlands, Texas (June 9, 2014) ― McKesson Specialty Health and The US Oncology Network today announced the
appointment of Nick Loporcaro as president, McKesson Specialty Health,
effective July 16. In addition, Kirk Kaminsky has been named president, The US
Oncology Network and Provider Services, effective immediately.
“Nick’s
breadth of knowledge, sharp business acumen and commitment to operational
excellence will play an instrumental role in further growing McKesson Specialty
Health,” said Paul Julian, executive vice president and group president,
McKesson Corporation. “Nick and his team will continue to build upon our
commitment to running a physician-focused organization, focused on empowering a
vibrant, sustainable community patient care delivery system.”
Until
recently, Nick served as president, McKesson Canada, where he was instrumental
in evolving the organization’s strategy to support providers, hospitals and
pharmacists facing a challenging regulatory environment. Over the past decade,
he has demonstrated an impressive track record of success and effective
leadership in Canada. He will be succeeded by Alain Champagne, senior vice
president, Pharmaceutical Distribution and Operations, McKesson Canada. Nick
will be based in The Woodlands, Texas.
In
addition, Kirk Kaminsky was named president, The US Oncology Network and
Provider Services, reporting to Nick. In this role, Kirk will be responsible
for leading The US Oncology Network, its financial and operational support, and
overall strategy in support of The US Oncology Network’s vision of improving
patient outcomes and quality of life.
As senior
vice president, McKesson Specialty Health Operations, Kirk successfully led
multiple businesses serving community oncology practices, including the Onmark Select Program, group purchasing organizations
and distribution services across brand, generics and oral oncolytics. He will
continue to reside in The Woodlands, Texas.
