Human Rights Campaign Honors McKesson as a Best Place to Work for Fifth Consecutive Year

SAN FRANCISCO, November 9, 2017— For the fifth straight year, McKesson Corporation was honored as one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. McKesson scored 100% on the HRC’s 2018 Corporate Equality Index, the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees.

McKesson’s LGBT and Straight Ally Employee Resource Group, named ‘OPEN’, plays an integral role in supporting the overall goals, objectives and initiatives of McKesson to be an employer of choice for LGBT people and allies. McKesson’s OPEN group has established a Policy Team that collaborates with McKesson’s Diversity & Inclusion and Public Affairs teams to monitor proposed and existing legislation that could significantly impact LGBT employees and their families. In recent years, McKesson’s OPEN group worked closely with human resources to further expand the company’s parental leave benefits to LGBT employees.
