McKesson Pharmacy Systems Unveils Key Enhancements for Its Pharmacy Management Product Lines

Moon Township, Pa., July 10, 2017—McKesson Pharmacy Systems (MPS) is pleased to announce the integration of Medication Synchronization and Mobile Delivery into its portfolio of pharmacy management systems, including EnterpriseRx^®, PharmacyRx™ and Pharmaserv^®. Pharmacies that implement these enhancements in their McKesson pharmacy management system can improve patient medication adherence and measurement, further streamline pharmacy workflow, and provide convenient mobile delivery and tracking capabilities for patient prescriptions.

Medication Synchronization, or Med Sync, helps pharmacists coordinate multiple patient medications to improve adherence and increase efficiency. It is also a convenient way for patients with multiple prescriptions to pick up all their medications during a single pharmacy visit each month. Med Sync can help improve the health outcomes of patients with several medical conditions who might not otherwise follow their prescribed medication regimen. The program can also help pharmacies achieve payer performance objectives to drive patient medication adherence. While Med Sync has already been available to EnterpriseRx users, the functionality is now integrated with PharmacyRx and Pharmaserv as well.

MPS has also upgraded the Mobile Delivery functionality for all its pharmacy management systems. Through a strategic partnership with leading mobile technology provider RxTrax (www.getrxtrax.com), McKesson now offers a service that enables customers to provide convenient medication delivery and tracking for their patients. Using Mobile Delivery, pharmacies can improve efficiency, boost profitability and ensure that homebound patients have access to needed medications. Combined with Med Sync, the service provides another means by which pharmacies can manage patient medication adherence. Mobile Delivery integrates with EnterpriseRx and Pharmaserv Point of Sale (POS) and is available as a standalone service for PharmacyRx.
