GAVRETO (pralsetinib), FDA Approved for Treatment of Metastatic RET Fusion-Positive Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, Available at Biologics by McKesson

CARY, N.C., Sept. 17, 2020 —Biologics by McKesson, an independent specialty pharmacy specializing in oncology and rare disease areas, has been selected by Blueprint Medicines as a specialty pharmacy provider for GAVRETO^TM (pralsetinib) for the treatment of adult patients with metastatic RET fusion-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) as detected by an FDA approved test.

GAVRETO, which was granted accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on September 4, 2020, was specifically designed to inhibit RET alterations. RET fusions are oncogenic drivers for multiple solid tumor types. This drug was given priority review by the FDA, which is granted to drugs that are expected to have a large impact on a disease’s treatment.
