Download Our Impact ReportIRVING, Texas, Jan. 27, 2020— For the seventh consecutive year, McKesson Corporation is honored as one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. McKesson achieved 100 percent on the HRC’s 2020 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a nationally recognized benchmarking report on corporate policies and practices in support of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality.
“This recognition demonstrates that our continued investment and commitment to diversity and inclusion is more than a checkmark—it’s a part of who we are,” said Traci Dunn, vice president of Inclusion, Diversity and Culture at McKesson. “We aspire to be a best place to work so that each employee brings their best self to work every day. It’s an honor to receive this recognition.”
Launched in 2002, the CEI serves as a roadmap for major U.S. business’ adoption of inclusive policies, practices and benefits for LGBTQ employees. It has since become a nationally recognized benchmarking report for businesses to gauge their level of LGBTQ workplace inclusion.
McKesson is continually improving its support of LGBTQ employees and their families. In recent years, the company has expanded LGBTQ benefits like offering transgender-inclusive assistance to employees, coverage for the HIV prevention medication, PrEP, and continues to grow and invest in its LGBTQ employee resource group, OPEN.
Most recently OPEN hosted a college recruiting event at McKesson’s Vision Center in Irving to give LGBTQ college students the opportunity to learn more about life at McKesson, meet senior leaders and explore internship and job opportunities.
