Download Our Impact ReportIRVING, Texas, July 20, 2022 — For the seventh consecutive year, McKesson is honored as one of the “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion” by Disability Equality Index (DEI). McKesson earned a top score of 100% for the fourth year in a row by creating an open and inclusive culture for all team members including those with disabilities.
“A top score reflects McKesson’s continued commitment to displaying best-in-class leadership, accessibility, strong employment practices, community engagement and supplier diversity,” said Dr. Kelvin Baggett, chief impact officer, McKesson. “Our focus on greater levels of employee engagement and a stronger sense of belonging has helped to create a more diverse, open and welcoming workplace for all of Team McKesson.”
Launched in 2015, the DEI is acknowledged today as the most robust disability inclusion assessment tool and has become a nationally recognized benchmarking report for businesses to gauge their level of workplace inclusion. The DEI is based on an annual survey that measures an organization’s adoption of inclusive policies and practices for people with disabilities.
“It makes me proud to see the commitment being made by McKesson and our executive leadership in the disability inclusion space,” said Jennifer Flinn, manager Integrations, Lab Interfaces and Direct Exchange, McKesson. “The support of McKesson’s Ability Employee Resource Group (ERG), our partnership with Disability: IN, a leading nonprofit resource for business disability inclusion, as well as our candid conversations with senior executives and DEI leadership make me feel supported as a McKesson employee living and working with a disability.”
McKesson continues to build on its inclusion and diversity efforts and has been named a “Military Friendly Employer” by GI Jobs and recognized as a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. McKesson has evolved and expanded its ERGs, and since 2021 has created several new ones including a Native and Indigenous Tribes ERG, Middle Eastern & North African ERG, and an Intercultural ERG.
