The McKesson Institute of Community & Health
The McKesson Institute for Community & Health, an approved provider of certification and continuing education, was created to improve and expand healthcare access. In 2022, we introduced the Community Health Worker (CHW) discipline and now offer certified training and ongoing education for CHWs, supporting their crucial role in our communities.
What are Community Health Workers?
CHWs are trusted members of the communities they serve, often acting as liaisons between healthcare providers and the community. They help to increase health knowledge through activities such as outreach, community education, informal counseling, social support and advocacy.
Course Description

It uses a blended learning approach, combining live virtual group sessions with self-paced, on-demand individual lessons. This online training format offers participants greater flexibility.
