Fostering Industry Partnerships

McKesson collaborates with a number of key industry organizations and nonprofits to fortify and maintain a resilient supply chain for the benefit of patients, healthcare providers and customers alike.

• McKesson is a member of the End Drug Shortages Alliance (EDSA), a collaboration of healthcare industry stakeholders, including providers, group purchasing organizations, manufacturers, distributors and other industry thought leaders dedicated to solving the pharmaceutical supply challenges that disrupt access to essential medications in the U.S.
• Additionally, Scott Miller, president of Strategic, Community & Specialized Pharmacy at McKesson, serves on the EDSA Advisory Board.
• McKesson has been a founding partner of Angels for Change, a global nonprofit on a mission to end drug shortages, since its inception in 2019.
• In fact, in July 2022, the McKesson Foundation awarded Angels for Change with a grant that enabled the nonprofit to expand its staff, lease office space, support education programs and help cover general operating expenses.
• McKesson received the inaugural Drug Shortage Guardian Award from Angels for Change for our exceptional work in response to the 2020-2021 shortage of Erwinaze, a chemotherapy drug used to treat patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
• Building on shared momentum, McKesson joined Angels for Change in the summer of 2023 at their annual SummitONE event and again at the White House for a special Cancer Drug Shortage Roundtable to help create equal access to critical lifesaving treatments.
• McKesson is a member of the Duke-Margolia ReVAMP Drug Supply Chain Consortium, which aims to create policies for a reliable drug supply chain with advanced manufacturing, ultimately improving patient outcomes by reducing drug shortages.
