McKesson Specialty Health REMS Appraised at CMMI Level 2

The Woodlands, Texas (May 21, 2015) ─ McKesson Specialty Health announced today that its Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS) program has been appraised at Level 2 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)®. The appraisal was performed by the McKesson office of the CTO.

CMMI® is a capability improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. An appraisal at maturity Level 2 indicates the organization is performing at a “managed” level. At this level, it is ensured that processes are planned and executed in accordance with policy; that skilled people are employed who have adequate resources to produce controlled outputs; that relevant stakeholders are involved; that projects are monitored, controlled, and reviewed; and that projects are evaluated for adherence to their process descriptions.
