Download Our Impact ReportAdministered by the Emergency Assistance Foundation (EAF) and funded by the McKesson Foundation and donations from our company and employees to help our employees facing hardships due to unexpected events, such as natural disasters or family emergencies.
That’s why we sponsor the employee relief fund. It’s a way for our people to get (and give) help during difficult times. It’s how we take care of our own.
We understand that unexpected emergencies can arise, and the Taking Care of Our Own Fund (The Fund) is there for employees in the event something happens. The Fund offers two types of grants:
The Fund offers up to $5,000 to cover basic costs following a personal hardship or government-declared disaster. EAF processes applications quickly, typically within 3-5 business days if all required documentation is provided, and approved applicants usually receive payment within 2 weeks. Grant applications are not visible or reviewed by McKesson or the McKesson Foundation, ensuring employee privacy.
Since it's a grant, employees never have to repay it. However, income guidelines apply to ensure the fund assists those in greatest need.
The Fund offers up to $1,000 in evacuation assistance funding for qualified McKesson employees who have been evacuated, displaced or stranded by a government-declared disaster.
There are no income requirements for this grant. To be eligible, employees need to work 20 or more hours per week.
