Expanding Access to Clinical Trials

Clinical trials should represent everyone.

Creating Pathways to Quality Healthcare

Expanding access to clinical trials is crucial to achieving better health outcomes for all patients. But some patients, including older adults, rural populations and members of certain racial or ethnic groups, are underrepresented. We support solutions that expand trial access to more participants by eliminating barriers for enrollment and participation.

  • Make Trials Local: Leverage community-based settings of care
  • Proactively Engage Patients: Enhance education and outreach efforts to expand patient population enrolling in trials
  • Enhance Clinical and Benefit Coordination: Leverage real-time patient claims, cost and benefit data to support patient management outside of a trial that may impact retention
  • Manage Financial Barriers: Create an anti-kickback statute exception to allow trial sponsors to provide financial support as needed and appropriate
  • Modernize Trials through Technology: Advance the use of remote monitoring and digital solutions
